Textbooks

Required textbooks may be purchased at the UCR Bookstore or through any other retail outlet. A list of required textbooks including electronic availability can be found on the Core Textbooks Site of the School of Medicine Library. You will learn more about online resources during Orientation Week, so you can wait to purchase your books until then.

Students are required to possess a laptop device that meets the minimum standards as outlined by the UCR School of Medicine Student Handbook. Contact the Office of Information Technology for more information.

Student Housing Information

UCR offers a variety of student housing options. Visit Student Housing Services for more information and to apply for housing.

Parking

If you plan to park a vehicle on the UCR campus, you are responsible for having a current UCR parking permit. Permits can be purchased through UCR Transportation and Parking Services.

Postsecondary Transcripts

UCR requires a copy of each of your postsecondary transcripts, including all universities, community colleges and extension programs you may have attended. UCR students must submit official transcripts to the School of Medicine.

AMCAS does not forward copies to UCR, so new transcripts must be requested.  If you recently completed your degree, please request that your registrar’s office hold your transcripts until your degree is conferred.

Transcripts must be delivered no later than July 26, 2024 to:

UC Riverside School of Medicine
Office of Student Affairs - Admissions
1682 SOM Education Building
Riverside, CA  92521

Official eTranscripts (PDF) will also be accepted from secure document delivery services such as National Student Clearinghouse or Parchment and can be sent directly to medadmissions@medsch.ucr.edu.
